Protein Reese’s Cups

Hello Little bit of heaven!!!

Ok, there is just something about CHOCOLATE AND PEANUT BUTTER that just makes me feel happy! One of my favorites is eating a Reese’s Pieces!
So looking at the picture…. guess what I made??? I found a recipe online for this, tweaked it just a bit to get it just the way I like it. Here, for your enjoyment is how I made it:

First you will need:
Chocolate Shakeology
Coconut Oil
Peanut Butter Powder (like PB2)
Cupcake Liner

First take 2 tsp. Melted Coconut oil and mix it with 2TBS PB Powder…. this will look like a liquid… that is totally ok, if it’s TOO runny, add 1/2 TBS more of PB powder, you do want this to pour pretty easy though, because it needs to get poured into the bottom of the cupcake liner.

once you pour half of the pb mixture into each liner… pop them in the freezer while you prepare the chocolate. (5 minutes should do nicely)

Now you want to mix the chocolate shakeology with water, a little at a time, until it’s like a pudding texture. I used about 1/2 scoop shakeology and a few teaspoons of water. Really you don’t want this really thick but not too thin.

Take the liners out of the freezer, pour the chocolate over the PB mixture and put them back in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
When it’s done they look just like this! They definitely taste like a “healthy” version and they are, they are protein packed don’t forget.. but unlike many “healthy” versions of things.. this does really give you the satisfaction of a peanut butter cup!

Do you know of something that could be used in place of the chocolate shakeology? Maybe cocoa powder? or chocolate protein powder

I would say because these are protein rich, I would try a chocolate protein powder of sorts.. I am sure you could use cocoa powder but not sure if it would be too bitter without some sweetener

Do you count this as a red? Maybe a couple of tsp? Can you please let me know. Also. What is the serving size?
